The Public Speaking & Presentations seminar was carefully designed to provide in-depth training that goes into the heart of all you need to know in order to significantly improve the way you deliver your message and, more importantly, the way it is received. The seminar, delivered by Clive Cusens, covers the following topics:

Dealing with pre-delivery nerves
Preparation in advance of the delivery
Structuring your message and/or presentation
Key tips to enhance your visual aids
The use of sign-posting during a delivery
Posture, gestures, the position of your body and other non-verbal communication
Tone of voice, intonation and word stress
Dealing with difficult questions from the public

The seminar’s duration is 2 to 2.5 hours long, depending on the audience’s participation. For organisations wishing to book this training for their staff, the content can be tailor-made to suit your needs.

For both individuals and organisations, the seminar is also eligible for up to a 70% rebate on the costs of tuition as part of the JobsPlus Investing in Skills programme, co-financed by the European Union (until May 2020).

About the Trainer

Clive Cusens is a Language and Communications specialist. With a long and diverse international career spanning five countries in the fields of diplomacy, public speaking and language teaching, Clive has coached several high-profile clients such as EU politicians, Secretaries-General, top-level management and even celebrities in the areas of language and communications, as well as in public speaking.

He has a Masters in EU International Relations & Diplomacy Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium, is a Cambridge-certified teacher of English and worked in a number of EU institutions as well as a diplomat for the Republic of Malta in Brussels.

He founded Eloquent Language in 2016 and now focuses on delivering seminars to companies and also coaches one-to-one clients.

Pricing

For individuals, the price for this seminar is €200, exclusive of tax. This price includes the cost of training, location costs and refreshments, as well as a certificate of attendance. Contact us with your interest and we will let you know when and where the next seminar will take place (once we have enough interest from the minimum required amount of participants).

For organisations, wishing to train their staff, we offer two options:

A) organise the seminar for up to 40 participants at your premises. An external venue may be arranged at an additional cost if this is not possible.

B) organise the seminar as a full day of training for up to a maximum of 6 participants and, in addition to the seminar itself, participants will be able to practise giving presentations and get personal, in-depth feedback after each performance. The training can be provided on-site or at the trainer’s residence in Mellieha.

Both of these options cost €1800, exclusive of tax, and include the trainer’s fee and certificates of attendance.
